We were truly OVERWHELMED with the love, excitement and support everyone has poured out on us. So thank YOU! We are so so excited about our family growing, so I have decided to blog this little journey every week. So starting with 10 weeks, here is our tiny food (olive garden) baby bump...
This week, baby is the size of a: lime!
Due date: January 17th, 2014
How far along: 10 1/2 weeks (11 weeks on Thursday!)
Next appointment: July 8th
Gender: We don't know yet! We can't wait to find out! But I just know its a boy. :)
Total weight gain/loss: I actually have no idea, I will have to check my starting weight and new weight at my next OB appt. Probably more than I should have, haha!
Exercise: Very little, walking when I dont want to be sleeping.
Stretch marks: None yet!
Swelling: My feet swell after a long day of shooting a wedding sometimes, not bad but more than before!
Maternity clothes: I have been wearing yoga pants as much as possible. SO comfortable on my belly.
Belly button: Normal
Sleep: Great, I am so exhausted at the end of the day (or anytime during the day) that its easy for me to sleep!
Food cravings/aversions: Pickles and salty foods. Which comes to no surprise to my friends. I loved pickles before and even more now. And for the first time in my life Taco Villa tasted awful to me today. Meat makes me nauseated.
Symptoms: Normal things, fatigue, starving every hour, stopped up (sorry, tmi!)
Movement: None yet!
Labor signs: Nope
What I miss: A big fat vanilla creme DP from sonic! I haven't been drinking any caffeine at all for a few months but have a big craving from time to time. Also, Chuy's margaritas!
What I'm loving: Some of you ladies who have been pregnant or are pregnant are going to hate me for saying this. But I have been extremely lucky to slip past these past 10 weeks with no morning sickness. There has been a few times I have been nauseated mostly because of something I tried to eat but not many. I was so scared to be puking every day, mostly because I act like I am dying and the world is ending when I have to puke. So for the sake of still having a husband at the end of this, I will just say that the Lord decided to protect me from morning sickness. ;-)
What I'm looking forward to: Hearing the babies heart beat at our next appointment. We saw the flicker of the heartbeat at our first ultrasound but haven't actually heard it yet.
Best moment this week: Hitting the 10 week mark on Thursday and announcing last week our good news! We couldnt hold it in any longer!
Milestones: Not much this week, just getting closer to ending the first trimester!
